Why Me, Lord?

Do you ever have those days when you wonder "Why me, Lord?"  You know, when you're really kind of blaming God for the woes in your life?  So often we tend to point the finger at Him, like He's out to get us or He's punishing us for something, and we don't know why or for what.  But He's God, and it's His duty to whip us into line - isn't it?  But He's been leading my thinking in a different direction for awhile now.  A direction toward His goodness, kindness, mercy, tender loving care.  I'm coming to see Him in a different light, and I love the picture He is showing me.  The Bible is chock full of scripture that points to His love for us.  That He is for us, not against us.  That He has plans for us and they are good plans, plans to prosper us, plans to keep us in relationship with Him.  When you get to feeling like God is picking on you, I encourage you to seek out scripture that shows His love for you.  As you reflect on His good character of love for you, you may just find that your spirits are lifting and you are able to let Him help shoulder your burdens instead of blaming Him for them.  And THAT will lead you to the "peace that passeth understanding", even in the worst of times.  Let's tap into God's good thoughts for us right now!
